Bovine ELISA Kits

The kit for detecting bovine samples is popular among our kits, especially in many countries with more dairy products. This kit can be used for samples like serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and cell culture supernatant, it can also be used for detecting milk samples (non-commercial milk).

  • Detection And Quality Control Of Host Proteins

Host proteins (HCP) form a major part of the process-related impurities in the production of biologics. The amount of residual HCP in a pharmaceutical product is often considered a critical quality attribute (CQA) because of its potential to affect product safety and efficacy.

  • Definition And Structure Of Antibodies

Antibodies are shaped like the letter 'Y' and their main job is to bind to an invading antigen, but not to kill the antigen - they do not have this function; the binding is to give the antigen a marker to be destroyed. When phagocytes find the marker to destroy, they come forward and swallow the antibody-bound antigen and digest it.

Bovine ELISA Kits FAQs

  • Q

When milk is used as a sample, what is the sample selection criteria and its treatment?

Normal milk samples are opalescent and transparent, and stratified ones cannot be used. The main ingredients of milk are water, fat, lactose and salt. The sample contains certain protein-precipitated substances, and the presence of fat will affect the detection result. For the sample preparation, it is recommended to centrifuge to remove the insoluble matter and the upper layer of fat, and add a certain buffer solution, vortex and mix well to keep the sample’s stability in the immunoassay reaction. Or sterilized and inactivated, placed in frozen conditions for long-term storage.

  • Q

What are the allergen related indicators ELISA kit in Bovine samples? What major studies have been done?

Milk is an important allergic food for infants and children, and there are significant differences among different individuals, depending on age, race and environment. The main allergens of milk were casein, α-lactalbumin, β-lactoglobulin and P1 component with higher molecular weight. These four components can react with allergic serum, and the detection methods include electrophoresis, chromatography, enzyme-linked immunoassay (ELISA), sensors, proteomics based on mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS), polymerase chain reaction technology (PCR), etc.
